At Oelwein Elementary, our vision of being Happy, Healthy, and Awesome is at the heart of everything we do. Here at Wings Park, we are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every child can learn and grow. We believe in doing Whatever It Takes to educate all students, and we are thankful to partner with you in that important work.

Alongside strong core instruction in literacy, math, science, and social studies, we focus on educating the whole child through opportunities in music, art, play, and social-emotional learning. Our goal is to prepare students with the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to succeed in school and in life.

As I begin my first year as principal at Wings Park, I am eager to get to know our students, families, and staff. Together, we will continue to make Wings Park a place where every child feels valued, supported, and ready to thrive.

Teacher Request Form: 

Dear Families,

As partners in your child’s education, your voice is important to us. As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we invite you to share your input regarding your child’s classroom placement.

Please note that while we carefully consider all feedback, our team thoughtfully develops class lists to ensure balanced classrooms. This includes maintaining equitable class sizes and a range of student learning needs in each classroom to best support all learners. Additionally, we want to be transparent about the fact that staffing assignments may change between now and the start of the school year.

We are proud of our dedicated teaching staff and are confident that all of our teachers provide high-quality instruction, care, and support for students. Our goal is to place each child in a classroom where they will thrive, knowing that every teacher is committed to student success.

We are committed to having a strong partnership with all families and ensuring that every student has access to a positive and supportive learning environment. We truly value your input and appreciate your collaboration in this process.
