Driver’s Education
Students enrolled in Driver’s Education class should be aware that class and driving must be a priority. Students will make the Driver's Ed teacher aware of possible conflicts during the first class so the teacher can create a driving schedule to accommodate everyone.
The teacher works very hard to schedule all of the students who have registered to take this class and the session is very difficult to adjust once it is set. Please be aware that unexcused absences from class or scheduled drive times may result in failing the class with no refund of money.
Registration for Driver’s Education class is on a first come, first served basis.
Students who have driven with their parents and are aware of basic driving skills will get more from the course than those who have little or no driving experience. Students are required to have a minimum of 20 hours of driving experience with their parents before they can get their provisional license at age 16. This is in addition to the state required six hours of driving that they will receive in the Driver's Ed class.
