Family involvement is a cornerstone of a child’s education and can be the difference in school success. OCSD wants to encourage communication and collaboration among families and educators for the overall development and growth of the child.

Families who are involved in the educational process instill a sense of pride, purpose and importance of the school-related activities. Family involvement also provides the child with a support system to celebrate achievements and overcome challenges. The support of the family and educators helps encourage the child to have a positive self-esteem and be more confident, in turn yielding other positive attributes for educational success.
