NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATION

Students, parents, employees and others doing business with or performing services for the Oelwein Community School District are hereby notified that this school district does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age (except students), religion, national origin, creed, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability in admission or access to, or treatment in, its programs and activities.

The Community School District does not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, creed, age (for employment), marital status (for programs), sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status (for programs) in its educational programs and its employment practices.  The belief in equal educational opportunity serves as a guide for the board and employees in making decisions relating to school district facilities, employment, selection of educational materials, equipment, curriculum, and regulations affecting students.
