The Oelwein School Board strives to provide an environment where students can be Happy, Healthy, and Awesome in their educational pursuits.
The Oelwein Community School District is governed by a seven-member Board of Education. Each volunteer member is elected at-large for a four-year term. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month in the Central Administration Offices at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. All meetings are open to the public. The board is charged with selecting a superintendent and setting educational and fiscal policies for the school district.
We believe that each student can graduate ready for college and/or a career. To do so, we will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that meets individual wellness, social and emotional needs.
